Tommy 'Tomas' Aragon
GRANTS Funeral mass for Tommy "Tomas" Aragon, 51 will
be at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 24 at the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church
in Grants. Father Matthew Keller will officiate. Burial will follow
at the Cubero Community Cemetery, Saturday, Feb. 25. A rosary will be
recited on Thursday, Feb. 23, 7 p.m., at the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic
Church.
Aragon died on Feb. 19 in Milan. He was born on April 13, 1954 in Gallup.
He was employed with Wal-Mart. He was an active Commander for the Sons
of The American Legion for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife, Dawn Aragon of Milan; sons, Tomas Aragon
Jr. of Milan, and Bryan Duhon of Colo., now serving in the US Army in
Iraq; brothers, Douglas Aragon of Gallup, Nabor Aragon and Theodore
Aragon both of Cubero; sisters, Yolanda Garcia of Calif., Ida Aragon
of Cubero, Catherine Talamante of Utah and Brenda Pickerd of Ariz.;
one granddaughter; one grandson;.Aragon was preceded in death by his
parents, Juaquin "Jake" and Adela Gonzales Aragon; brothers,
Roger Aragon and Julius Aragon; sister, Dolores Aragon.
Pallbearers will be Christopher, Aragon, Denny Aragon, and Benjamin
Aragon.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Richard Milane
ZUNI A traditional burial will be held today for Richard
J. Milane, 57, of Zuni, New Mexico at the Quincy Panteah Cemetery. Traditional
wake services were held Tuesday evening at Lolita Milane's residence
in Zuni.
Milane was born on Oct. 19, 1949 in Zuni, New Mexico and passed away
Feb. 19 in Zuni, New Mexico. He was of the Badger Clan and Crane Clan.
He was a certified physician's assistant and worked at Rehoboth McKinley
Christian Hospital. He also worked with Indian Health Service in Tacoma,
Wash., Tuba City, Ariz. and Shiprock, New Mexico.
Milane obtained a master's degree in medicine and also became a certified
x-ray technician. He attended Washington State University and University
of New Mexico in Albuquerque. He also attended school in Alaska.
He is survived by his mother: Lolita Milane of Zuni; daughters, Shelly
and Richelle, son, Joey Milane; and sisters Virginia Quam, Bernice Milane
Baca, Gerracas Terrazas, Linda Milane, and Velda Lesko.
Milane was preceded in death by his father Oscar J. Milane.
Esther H. Yazzie
REHOBOTH Funeral services for Esther H. Yazzie, 92 will be held
at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, at Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Gallup.
Yazzie died on Feb. 20 in Gallup. She was born on Dec. 17, 1913 in Rehoboth
into the Meadow People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.
Survivors include her husband, Marion Yazzie, Sr. of Rehoboth; daughters,
Marilyn Juan of Crownpoint, Carole Lansing, Maria Livingston, and Irene
Yazzie, all of Rehoboth, Marjorie Tom of Window Rock, Roslyn Yazzie
of Gallup; son, Willie Yazzie of Twin Lakes; 35 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren.
Yazzie was preceded in death by her parents, Dino Anah Beyit and Kanabah
Hale; daughter, Yvonne Boyd; son, Marion Yazzie Jr.
Pallbearers will be Duane Juan, Lionel Juan, Jason Lansing, Roland Livingston,
Herman Tom, and Earl Yazzie.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

GRANTS Funeral services are pending at this time for Elizabeth
J. Triana, 47 of Grants.
Triana died on Feb. 20 in Grants.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Charles Wesley Grider
GRANTS Funeral services are pending at this time for Charles
Wesley Grider, 79 of Grants.
Grider died on Feb. 20 in Grants. He was born on Dec. 10, 1926 in Melrose,
New Mexico.
