Window Rock Lady Scouts coach Ryneldi Becenti tries to get more
hustle from her players Tuesday night during the first quarter of
a regional tournament against Greyhills. Becenti's prompting worked
and The Lady Scouts turned and went on to beat the Knights, 58-41.

workshop Monday at Stagecoach Elementary School. Students at the school
are being given a chance to work with artists B. Emerson Kitsman and Joseph
Jenike during a series workshops this week that include watercolor painting,
drawing and printmaking. The workshops are part of the Arts Based Learning
Enhancement program, funded by the state of New Mexico, to study the impact

Impromptu Lessons: Wingate student Jerron Juan gets an impromptu
cello lesson from Dana Winograd during the intermission of the New Mexico
Symphony Orchestra performance at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Tuesday night.
Juan said he thought cello might be a nice hobby because it seemed easy.
The NMSO is scheduled to present children's concert today at Rehoboth

Milan Chief of Police Jerry Stephens takes down crime scene tape at the
corner of Berryhill and Pintada Tuesday afternoon. Mark Gray was shot
and killed in front of Elkins Park early Tuesday morning. Police roped
off the area on Berryhill between Haystack and Pintada streets so New
Mexico State Police could investigate the murder. One man has been arrested
