John Roberts

PINE HAVEN — Funeral services for John Roberts, 73 will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 6, at Cope Memorial Chapel. Pastor Jay Arviso will officiate. Burial will be at the Gallup City Cemetary.

Roberts died Jan. 30 in Albuquerque. He was born June 11, 1932 in Pine Haven. He attended the school at Wingate. He was employed with the City of Gallup and also worked with the Railroad. He went to WWII in Korea. He enjoyed going to tent revivals on the reservation.

Survivors include his wife Irene P. Roberts of Pinedale; sons, Emerson Roberts of Chichiltah, Marvin Roberts of Gallup, and Andrew Roberts of Pinedale; daughter, Annabelle Peterson of Pinedale; sisters, Alice Chee of Gallup and Mary Charlie of Pine Hill; and seven grandchildren.

Roberts was proceded in death by her sister, Irene Begay.

Pallbearers will be Emerson Roberts, Marvin Roberts, Andrew Roberts, Gary Washington, Gerald Washington, and Albert Hunt.

Coper Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
