Marcella Shell
GALLUP Funeral services for Marcella
Elvira Gonzales Shell, 76, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, at
Mt. Calvary cemetery chapel. Interment will follow the service.
Shell died Friday, Dec. 15 in Albuquerque. She was born August
27, 1930 in Gallup.
Shell is survived by a son, Bruce Dallago; daughter, Linda Dallago,
brother, Frank Gonzales Jr.; sisters, Irene Gidcumb, Lydia Duran,
Flora Jaramillo and Clara Parker; five grandchildren.
Shell was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Gonzales Sr.
and Natividad Chavez Gonzales.
Pallbearers will be Derek Dallago, Jimmy Blanton, John Parker,
Bailey Jaramillo Jr., James Jaramillo and Will Madrid.
Nathan Arviso
REHOBOTH, N.M. Funeral services for Nathan
Vernon Arviso, 29, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19 at Rollie
Palm Chapel. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19 at
Rollie Palm Chapel. Interment will be at City Cemetery, Gallup.
Arviso died Friday, Dec. 15 in Gallup. He was born March 23, 1977
in Gallup into the Black Streak Wood People Clan and for the Red
Towering House People Clan.
Arviso graduated from Gallup High School in 1997. He enjoyed ranching,
playing sports and watching movies. He loved spending time with
his family.
Arviso is survived by his father, Eddie Arviso of Mariano Lake,
N.M.; mother, Lita Arviso of Gallup; sisters, Cheryl Arviso, Melinda
Arviso and Jennifer Johnson, all of Gallup; grandmothers, Louise
Jim and Bessie Skeet, both of Gallup.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrngements.
Johnson Begay Sr.
HAYSTACK, N.M.Funeral services for Johnson
Begay Sr., 55, were 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18 at the Haystack Gospel
Light House, Haystack, N.M. Reverend Edward King officiated. Interment
was to be at Grants Memeorial Park, Grants N.M.
Begay was born on Oct. 3, 1951, in Ft. Defiance, Ariz. into the
Bitter Water People Clan and for the Red Running into Water People
Clan.
Begay attended the Inter-Mountain School in Utah. He was an employee
of the sawmill in Navajo. N.M. He also worked for GMCS in Navajo,
Homestake Mine in Grants, Mt. Taylor Mills in Milan, Kachina Connection
in Thoreau and Paleface Manufacturing in Grants. He also was a
shepherd, rancher, gardener and mechanic. He enjoyed spending
time with his grandchildren, playing softball and horseback riding.
Begay is survived by his wife, Myrtle Begay of Haystack; sons,
Aaron J. Begay of Sundance and Johnson Begay Jr. of Haystack;
daughters, Teashia Begay of Sundance and Velma Begay of Ganado,
Ariz.; mother, Tullie Begay of Rabbitbrush, Ariz.; brothers, Wallace
Begay of Kayenta, Ariz., Harrison Begay of Navajo, Randolph Begay
and Hermanson Begay of Rabbitbrush; sisters, Alice Grass of Kayenta,
Ella Young and Theresa Scott, both of Phoenix and Rosita Begay
of Rabbitbrush.
Begay was preceded in death by Bah Yazzie, Wilson T. Begay and
Jimersm Begay.
Pallbearers will be Leonard Yazzie, Joe Lares, Kit Vandever, Aaron
J. Begay, Leonard Thompson and Edmund Billy.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Baca Chapter
House.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
