Bennie Perez
GRANTS Services for Bennie Perez, 77,
will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 6 at St. Teresa de Avila Catholic
Church. Father Michael Kugler will officiate.A rosary will be
recited 7 p.m. Dec. 5 at St. Teresa de Avila Catholic Church.
Perez died Dec. 1 in Albuquerque. She was born Aug. 16, 1929 in
McFee, Colo.
Survivors include brother, Manuel Atencio of San Rafael; sisters,
Virginia Atencio, Ophilia Lucero and Jennie Rael, all of Grants.
Perez was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Perez; parents,
Cipriano L. Atencio and Ernetina Archuleta Atencio; brothers,
Gilbert Atencio and Elias Atencio; sister Elda Atencio.
Pallbearers will be Fred Rael, Arthur Madrid, Adrian Madrid, Clarence
Lucero, Larry Diaz, Ruben Chavez and Paul Chavez.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Leo Peed
GALLUP Services for Leo W. Peed, 74,
will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 6 at Rollie Mortuary. Robert
Keene will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park
in Gallup.
Visitation will be today, Dec. 5 from 3-4:30 p.m. at Rollie Mortuary.
Peed died Dec. 2. He was born Dec. 23, 1931 in Guthrie Center,
Iowa. He was a dirt-moving contractor, and an automotive shop
and parts-store owner. He enjoyed participating in Masonic activities
and wood working. He was a pet lover and his hobbies included
spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Leanne Peed of Gallup; daughter, Heidi
Harrison of Mo.; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents William H. Peed, Alvera
Peed; sisters, Helen Allen, Charlene Netland; brother John Peed
and one grandson.
Pallbearers will be Leo W. Davis, Randy Denby, Jarod McCarty,
Darrell Olson, Tom Peed and Tom Speight.
