Christine Etsitty
BECENTI, N.M. Services for Christine Smiley Etsitty, 87, will
be at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 11 at the First Navajo Baptist Church. Pastor
George Jim will officiate. Burial will follow on family land in Becenti.
Etsitty died Aug. 6 in Becenti. She was born Aug. 28, 1918 in Mariano
Lake into the Sleeping Rock People Clan for the Towering House People
Clan.
Etsitty enjoyed being with her family, tending to her livestock and
ranching. Her hobbies included making special saddle cinches and making
clothing.
Survivors include her son Ned Edsitty of Becenti; daughters Alice Charley
of Grants, Grace Vicenti of Crownpoint; sisters, Emma Martin, Pauline
Martin, both of Crownpoint, 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Etsitty, parents John
Martin and Mary Martin; sister Bertha Kellaco.
Pallbearers will be Arvil Billy, Olin Charlie, Orren Charlie and Andre
Johnson.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Jarrett Bundshuh
GRANTS Services for Jarrett Edward Bundshuh, 8, will be at 1
p.m., Friday, Aug 11 at the First United Methodist Church. Pastor Reuben
Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow at Grants Memorial Park.
Bundshuh died Aug. 7 in Albuquerque. He was born Feb. 1, 1998 in Scarbro,
W. Va. He would have been a third-grader at Mt. Taylor Elementary this
year.
Survivors include his parents Andy and Tammy Bundshuh of Grants; sister
Andrea Bundshuh of Grants; grandparents Richard Erskine of Iron Gate,
Va., Judy Nicely of Clifton Forge, Va. and Edward and Lucile Bundshuh.

Willie Jameson
GALLUP Services for Willie Jameson, 90, will be at 10 a.m.,
Friday, Aug. 11 at Cope Memorial Chapel. Chaplain Ed Mabrito will officiate.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup.
Jameson died Aug. 8 in Gallup. He was born March 15, 1916 in Standing
Rock, N.M. into the Water That Flows Together People Clan for the Mexican
People Clan.
He was employed with BIA schools until he retired and spent time being
a silversmith. He enjoyed traveling, arts and crafts, and playing the
saxophone.
Survivors include his sons Don Jameson of Prewitt, N.M., Floyd Jameson
of Durango, Colo.; daughters Shirley Jameson of Phoenix, Maizie Will
of Fall Creek, Wis., and Elaine Jameson-Yazzie of Gallup; 31 grandchildren
and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virgina Jameson; sons Paul and
John Jameson and one daughter LaVerne Jameson.
Pallbearers will be Shane Halona, Donavan Jameson, Dion Jameson, Fritz
Jones, Kyle Jameson and Brandon McBride.
The family will receive relatives and friends following services at
the First United Methodist Church.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Grace Leupp
TOLAKAI, N.M. Services for Grace Leupp, 94, will be at 10 a.m.,
Friday, Aug. 11 at the Bethlehem Christian Reformed Church in Tohlakai.
Pastor Bobby Boyd will officiate. Burial will follow in the family plot
in Tolakai.
Leupp died Aug. 7 in Gallup. She was born May 15, 1913 in Tohlakai into
the Salt Water People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.
Survivors include his sons Richard Leupp, Kenneth Leupp, both of Tolakai;
daughters Marie Begay, Maggie Silago, Alice Martinez, all of Tohlakai,
Clara Damon of Window Rock; brother Billy Tso of China Springs; 44 grandchildren,
122 great-grandchildren and 54 great-great-grandchildren.
Leupp was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Leupp; sons Harrison
Leupp, David Leupp, Robert Leupp, Joe Leupp; daughters Annie Leupp,
Mary Tsosie.
Pallbearers will be Marcus Claude, Marco Claude, Darwin Martinez, Cedric
Tsosie, Richard Tsosie and Thaddeus Tsosie.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Grace Leupp's residence,
two and one-half miles east of Tohlakai.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Walda Benally
FORT DEFIANCE Services for Walda April Benally, 18, will be
at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 11 at Our Lady of Fatima, Del Muerto, Ariz.
Father Blaine will officiate. Burial will follow in Del Muerto.
Visitation and a Rosary will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m., today, April 10
at Tse Bonito Mortuary.
Benally died Aug. 7 in Albuquerque. She was born April 11, 1988 in Chinle,
into the Charcoal Streaked Division of the Red Running Into the Water
People Clan for the Red Bottom People Clan.
Benally was going to be a senior at Highland High School in Albuquerque.
Her dreams were to be a culinary chef and become a NASCAR mechanic.
Suvivors include her parents Verna and Walter Benally; brother Vernon
Clashin; sisters Bernadette B. Fontenelle, Bernadene Benally and Diedra
Benally and various nephews and neices.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother Vera Ann Askodi.
