Timothy Romero
GALLUP Timothy Romero, 57, died Aug. 7 in Gallup. He was born
October 21, 1948 in Gallup. The family will receive relatives and friends
at the Romero Residence at 1508 Helena Dr., in Gallup at 6 p.m. on Thursday,
Aug. 10.
Survivors include his son Richard Romero of Gallup; daughter, Kim Welch
of Farmington; mother Bessie Romero of Gallup; sisters Lorease Paisano
of Albuquerque, Jeannie Romero, Marsha Ruiz, both of Phoenix; and four
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Antonio Romero; sister Dolly
Garcia; brother, Lory-boy Romero and Milton Romero and one granddaughter.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Kentson Tom
FORT DEFIANCE Graveside services for Kentson Tom, 46, will be
at 10 a.m., today, Aug. 9 at the Fort Defiance Community Cemetery. Pastor
Roger Davis will officiate.
Tom died Aug. 5 in Dallas, Texas. He was born May 22, 1960 in Rehoboth
into the Mexican People Clan for the Edge of the Water People Clan.
Tom attended window Rock High School and worked for the Navajo Nation
Police Department in maintenance, NHA as an asbestos remover and construction
worker. His hobbies included fishing, videos, sports and powwows.
Survivors include his sons Myron Tom, Marc Tom and Lyle Tom; daughter
Meara Tom; brother Wayland Tom; sisters Elaine Tom, Francine Dineyazzie,
Rosalyn Tilden, Bridget Dineyazzie and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents Woodrow Tom and Ella Mae Tom
and his grandmother, Norah Smiley.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Presbyterian Church
Fellowship Hall in Fort Defiance after services.
Esther Osborne
MILAN Services for Esther Osborne, 88, will be at 10 a.m., Thursday,
Aug. 10 at Compassion Mortuary. Burial will follow at Grants Memorial
Park.
Osborne died Aug. 4 in Grants. She was born Oct. 3, 1917 in Bentonville,
Ark.
Survivors include her son Scott Carroll of Grants; three grandchildren
and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill G. Osborne; parents George
McClintic and Dora Estella Boling McClintic and one son J. Miles Carroll.
Pallbearers will be Scott Carroll, Duane Carroll, Andy Carroll, Becky
MacNeil, Steve Odom and Raymond Shepherd.

BLOOMFIELD Services for Daniel F. Martinez Sr., 54, will be
at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 at St. Teresa de Avila Catholic Church in
Grants. Burial will follow at Grants Memorial Park.
A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today, Aug. 9 at Compassion Mortuary.
Martinez died Aug. 6 in Farmington. He was born May 4, 1952 in Grants.
Survivors include his wife Valarie Martinez of Bloomfield; children
Ricky Martinez, Melanie F. Martinez, both of Bloomfield, Danny F. Martinez
Jr. of Albuquerque, Donna Martinez of Phoenix, Darlene Valdez, Dion
Valdez, both of Grants; sister Eloisa Salazar of Bloomfield; brothers
Jeff Martinez, Paul Martinez, both of Grants, George Martinez of Farmington,
Bobby Martinez of Tucson, Jerry Martinez of Santa Rosa, N.M.; and 11
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Polito Martinez and Rita Salazar
Martinez and one sister Theresa Martinez.
Pallbearers will be Jr. Salazar, Ryan Martinez, Ralph Romero Jr., Andrew
Martinez, Bernie Martinez and Tommy Martinez.
