Aneth Veterans' Meeting
ANETH, Utah A Shiprock Agency veteran's meeting will be 8 a.m.
on Saturday, April 15 at the Aneth Chapter House. Military service medals
will be awarded to the late Corporal Harold White, U.S. Army, a Navajo
warrior, who was killed in action on Jan. 24, 1945 in Europe.
Guest speakers include Navajo Nation Vice President Frank
Dayish Jr., Rep. Raymond Begay, Donnie Kee of the New Mexico Veterans
Services Advisory Board, and Linda Lovejoy of the New Mexico Public Utility
Commission. Lunch will be served, and veterans and their family members

SECOND MESA, Ariz. An active parenting of teens workshop will be
held April 20-21 at the Hopi Cultural Center conference room in Kykotsmovi.
The workshop is sponsored by Hopi Jr/Sr High School and Nancy Spence will

Apple Blossom Pow Wow
FARMINGTON, N.M. The Native American Program and the United Tribes
Club at San Juan College will present the 27th Annual Apple Blossom Pow
Wow, Saturday, April 15, at McGee Park Memorial Colisum on the San Juan
County Fairgrounds. Doors open at 9 a.m. Drums, dancers, royalty and the
general public are welcome. Gourd dancing begins at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Grand entry is 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. General admission $5, senior citizens
and persons with disabilities $4, children under five $1. Information:

Loan Lenders
New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Dept. has not issued 12 new licenses
for payday lenders since Gov. Bill Richardson ordered a temporary moratorium
on Feb. 22. The Department is in the process of drafting the new regulations
and expects to publish them in mid-April.
Free Immunization
GALLUP McKinley County Health Office will be giving free immunization
to children who have no health insurance on Wednesday, April 19 at 9-11
