Armida Danoff
COWAN HEIGHTS, Calif. Funeral Mass for Armida C. Danoff, 87,
will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24 at Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
A Rosary and Eulogies will be held Friday, Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. at Rollie
Mortuary Chapel. A Memorial Celebration Service will be held in California
at a later date. Danoff died Friday, September 15th. She was born October
7, 1918 in Gallup.
Danoff was raised in Gallup, a graduate of Gallup High School, an active
officer and member of several civic and community organizations for
the first seventy years of her life. For the past 17 years, she has
lived with her daughter and her family in Cowan Heights, California.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamela S. Danoff-Kraus of Cowan Heights,
Calif.; Hyman J. Danoff, Albuquerque; June Danoff of Tucson, Ariz.;
Kerry Danoff of Atlanta, GA; Michael Danoff of Albuquerque, Robert Danoff
of Paradise Valley, Ariz.; and Eric Danoff of Piedmont, Calif.; Josephine
Del Curto of Gallup and one granchild.
Danoff was preceded in death by her husband, Isadore H. Danoff.
Pallbearers will be Michael Danoff, Robert Danoff, Louis Danoff, Troy
Danoff, Ryan Danoff and Lidio Rainaldi Jr. Memorial donations to a personal
charity of choice are requested in lieu of flowers by the family.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Rollie Mortuary.
Rose Ann Guerro
DEL MUERTO, Ariz. Funeral services for Rose Ann Guerro, 65,
will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22 at the Chinle Christian Center.
pastor Artie Aragon will officiate. Burial will follow on private land.
Guerro died Sept. 18 in Chinle. She was born Jan. 31, 1940 in Canyon
de Chelly, Ariz. into the Edge Water People Clan for the Coyote Pass
People Clan.
Guerro attended Inter-Mountain Indian School in Brigham City, Utah and
Phoenix Indian School. She was employed with Chinle Junior High School
as a teacher's assistant with the Special Education Dept. Guerro enjoyed
horseback riding, reading, sewing, hiking, pion picking and tending
to her grandchildren.
Survivors include her father, Guy Tso of Chinle; daughters, Jonie Guerro,
Kathleen Guerro, Marlene Guerro all of Chinle; sisters, Coreen Anagel,
Amelia Bia, Mary Bia, Liz Tso, Susie Tso, Odessa Valencia, Arlinda Wilson,
all of Chinle; brothers, Eugene T. Peterson, Justin Tso, Larry Tso,
all of Chinle, Franklin Tso of Wide Ruins; and five grandchildren.
Guerro was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie S. Guerro and mother,
Alice J. Tso.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Begay, Franklin Tso, Justin Tso, Larry Tso,
Kyle Valencia and Sam Valencia.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Ernest Thompson Sr.
REHOBOTH Funeral services for Ernest B. Thompson, Sr., 60, will
be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22 at Cope Memorial Chapel. Pastor
Bobby Boyd will officiate. Burial will follow in family land in Rehoboth.
Thompson died Sept. 18 in Albuquerque. He was born in March, 1945 in
Gallup into the Towering House People Clan for the One Who Walks Around
People Clan.
Survivors include his sons, Ernest A. Thompson, Jr., Fred A. Thompson,
Anthony R. Thompson all of Albuquerque; mother, Naomi Becenti; brothers,
Leroy Thompson Sr. of Albuquerque, Dr. Francis D. Becenti of Vanderwagen;
sisters, Faith Jones Bitsie of Tohatchi, Priscilla Becenti of Fort Wingate;
and four grandchildren.
Thompson was preceded in death by his father, Fred C. Thompson and grandmother,
Hattie Becenti.
Pallbearers will be Ernest Thompson, Jr., Fred Thompson, Anthony Thompson,
Leroy Thompson, Sr., Leroy Thompson, Jr., Ben Platero, Ted Cunejo and
Robert Becenti.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Delores Delgarito's
home in Gallup.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ernest B. Thompson Memorial
fund for the homeless at Bank of America.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
David S. Vigil
GALLUP Memorial Mass for David S. Vigil, 84, will be at 5:15
p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22 at St. Francis Catholic Church. Father Eduardo
Espinosa Chacon, O.F.M. will officiate.
A rosary will be recited on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 5 p.m. at St. Francis
Catholic Church.
Vigil died Sept. 18 in Albuquerque. He was born Feb. 9, 1921 in Magdelina,
N.M.
Vigil was a Veteran of WWII. He served in the European Theater and participated
in the invasion of Italy, Southern France, Germany and Africa. Vigil
was a mechanic at Rico Motor Company, Navajo Motors and Carbon Coal
Mining Company. He was retired.
Survivors include her daughters, Evelyn "Sugie" Barreras,
Rosalinda "Rotsy" Lloyd both of Gallup; sisters, Mary Gomez
of Gallup, Katie Mestas of San Rafael; brothers, Igancio Vigil of Gallup,
Richard Vigil of Bosque Farms, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Vigil was preceded in death by his father, Flavio Vigil; mother, Domecia
Vigil; sisters, Irene Silva, Dorothy Thomas, Paula Vigil; brothers,
Eloise Vigil and Samuel Vigil.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Lloyd Jr., Michael Diaz, Urban Franco, Donald
Serna, Simon Suzuki and Mark Villanueva.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
John Farley
MILAN Funeral services are pending for John V. Farley, 88.
Farley died Sept. 19 in Milan. He was born Aug. 16, 1917 in West Virginia.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
