Alfredo Sanchez

GALLUP — Funeral Mass for Alfredo C., Sanchez, 99, will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Santa Rosa, N.M. Father Nick Nicholas will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa.

A rosary will be recited this evening at 7 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Sanchez died Sept. 15 in Gallup. He was born Sept. 20, 1905 in Juan De Dios, N.M.

Sanchez was a rancher who lived most his life in Santa Rosa. He moved to Gallup during his golden years.

Survivors include his children, Stephen Sanchez of Alamagordo, Aurora Cordova, Dilly Martinez, Max Sanchez all of Santa Rosa, Cecilia Salazar, Joe Sanchez, Jimmy Sanchez, Nettie Espinosa, Mary Jane Giron, Julia King all of Albuquerque, Freddie Sanchez of Denton, Texas, Eva Crow of Gallup; sisters, Claudita Median of Bernalillo, Julia Aragon of Clovis; 42 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Sanchez was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Angel Sanchez; daughters, Agnedita's Sanchez; parents, Steven and Serapia Sanchez; sister, Tana Garcia; brothers, Pelagio Sanchez and Alfonso Sanchez.

Pallbearers will be family.

MARIANO LAKE — Funeral services for Helen Delgarito Charley, 70, will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at the Mariano Lake Community Bible Church. Pastor Harry Cayatineto will officiate. Burial will follow in Mariano Lake on family land.

Charley died Sept. 14 in Gallup. She was born Sept. 16 in Mariano Lake into the Deer Springs People Clan for the Sagebrush People Clan.

Charley was a housewife, rug weaver and home maker. She enjoyed attending church, watching western movies, puzzles and crocheting.

Survivors include her husband, Sam Y. Charley of Mariano Lake; sons, Raymond Charley, Larry Charley, Ricky Charlie, Liebert Charley all of Mariano Lake; daughters, Pauline Dodge, Irene Delgarito, Louise Mariano all of Mariano Lake; father, Roy Delgarito; 27 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Charley was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Dakai; son, Leonard Charlie Sr.; maternal grandparents, Mae and Juan Dakai.

Pallbearers will be Marvin Charley, Melvin Charley, Barney Mariano, Ronald Charley, Alvin Cleveland, Timothy Delgarito, Jimmy Brown and Phil Freeland Jr.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Freddie Wilson

CROWNPOINT — Funeral services are pending for Freddie Wilson, 56.

Wilson died Sept. 17 in Crownpoint.

A family meeting will be held this evening, Sept. 19 at 5 p.m. at the Smith Lake Chapter House.
