Eileen Brower

STERLING, Colo. — Memorial services for Eileen Brower, 90, were held this morning, May 13 at 11 a.m. at the Nazarene Church in Sterling. Rev. Matthew Palm officiated. Internment followed in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Castle Rock, Colo.

Brower died May 10 in Sterling, Colo. She was born Feb. 11, 1915 in Ravenna, Neb.

Brower graduated from high school in Alliance, Neb. and continued her education at the University of Omaha, Neb. In 1987 she moved to Gallup and in 2003 moved to Sterling. Brower was a fourth grade teacher in Neb. and Colo. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Alpha Delta Kappa and was a lifelong member of the Neb. PTA.

Survivors inlcude her son, Lee W. Brower of Gallup; daughter, Colleen Schott of Iliff, Colo.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Brower was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne M. Brower; and two grandchildren.

Donations in may be made in Eileen Browers name to the Sterling Living Center, Sterling, Colo. or Little Sisters of the Poor, Gallup.


Louise Smith

MENTMORE — Services are pending for Louise Smith, 53.

Smith died May 11 in Gallup. She was born May 4, 1952 in Rocky Point, N.M. into the Black Streak of the Forest People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
