Death


Odesbah Anderson

GALLUP — Funeral mass for Odesbah Dorothy Anderson, 79, will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 18 at Sacred Heart Cathedral. The Very Rev. Lawrence J. O'Keefe will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

A visitation will be held Friday at Rollie Mortuary Palm Chapel from 8 to 9:45 a.m.

Anderson died March 13 in Gallup. She was born Nov. 1, 1925 in Fort Defiance.

Anderson attended school at the Good Sheperd Mission and college in Tucson. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Edward Anderson, Jr., Jay W. Anderson, William Anderson all of Gallup, Tommy Arviso of Rialto, Calif.; daughters, Mary Ann Anderson, Susie Ann Anderson, Diane Anderson-McCreight, Shirley Paradise all of Gallup; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Anderson, Sr.; son, Eddie Arviso and daughter, Rosabelle Chino.

Pallbearers will be J.W. Anderson, Eddie Arviso, Jr., Carl Mayes, Jr., Matthew McCreight, John Wesley Paradise and Richard Ross.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Nazarene Church, 1801 West Aztec.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Correction

In the James E. Marincell obituary that ran in Wednesday, March 16 edition, the mortuary listed the wrong place of burial. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup.
