James E. Burnett

PAONIA, Colo. — Graveside services for James E. Burnett, 70, were at 2 p.m. on March 2 at Norwood Cemetery. Pastor Gracie Lueras officiated.

A visitation was held on March 1 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Paonia.

Burnett died Feb. 25 in Paonia. He was born July 9, 1934 in Paonia, Colo.Burnett graduated from Nucla High School in 1952. He served in the Army until 1956. He was a miner and worked in the Four Corners area, Wyoming and Montana. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Burnett of Paonia; daughters, Brenda Burnett of Cortez, Linda Miller of Montrose, Calif., Julie Cucciardi of Gallup; sons, Jimmy Burnett of Gamerco, Bobby Burnett of Crawford, Colo.; brother, Kenneth Burnett of Colo.; sister, Shirley Jean Fulton of Colo.; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Burnett was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Franklin and Edna Mae Burnett; and brother, Don Burnett.


Hunter Thompson

FARMINGTON — Services for Hunter Marcus Thompson, 4 mo., will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 7 at Cope Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Thompson died March 2 in Farmington. He was born Oct. 24, 2004 in Farmington.

Survivors include his parents Sheldon L. Thompson and Loushana Benally, both of Farmington; brother, Ethan Ty Thompson of Farmington; sister Autumn Rose Thompson of Farmington; grandparents Roy Bennally Jr. and Fannie Fasthorse, of Mitten Rock, Betty Thompson of Naschitti, great-grandparents, Ann Fasthorse of Shiprock, and Lucy Benally of Shiprock.

Thompson was preceded in death by his grandfather, Phillip Thompson; great-grandparents, Tom Fasthorse, Tony Livingston and Victoria Livingston.

Pallbearers will be Torrey Fasthorse, Toby Fasthorse, Keith Pine and Jermaine Thompson.

Cope Memorial Chapel of Farmington is in charge of arrangements.


Bert Giovanetti

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Memorial services for Bert Earl Giovanetti, 72, will be at 1 p.m., Monday, March 7 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2100 Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, Colo. A reception will follow services.

Giovanetti died March 2. He was born Dec. 7, 1932 in Rehoboth, N.M.

Survivors include his wife Loanna; children Deedra Giovanetti, Brian Giovanetti and Tanya Lasko and four grandchildren.
