Felix Arviso
PINEDALE Services for Felix H. Arviso, 44, will be at 10 a.m.
on Tuesday, June 21 at Rollie Mortuary Palm Chapel. Pastor Mark Thomas
will officiate. Burial will follow in a family cemetery in Pinedale.
Arviso died June 14 in Gallup. He was born Oct. 28, 1960 in Fort Defiance
into the Mountian Cove People Clan for the Cliff Dwellers People Clan.
Arviso enjoyed training horses, making Kachinas and sports.
Survivors include his son, Orlando Arviso of Pinedale; brothers, Edison
Arviso, Frankie Arviso, Lorenzo Arviso, Marvin Arviso all of Coyote
Canyon, Earl K. Tsosie, Stanley David Tsosie, Steven K. Tsosie, Frank
H. Arviso Sr. of Pinedale, Jay Henry Arviso of Vanderwagen, Martin Arviso
of Albuquerque, Leo David Tsosie of Twin Lakes; sisters, Virginia Arviso,
Alice Marie Largo, Mary T. Sherman all of Pinedale, Rose Garcia of Gallup,
Jean Kline of Coyote Canyon, and Grace Talk of Iyanbito.
Arviso was preceded in death by his father, Frank Henry Arviso; mother,
Jennie Y. Arviso; son, Felix Irving Arviso Jr.; sister, Catherine Arviso;
grandmothers, Grandma Jesus, Althkeebah Yazzie and grandfather, Ramone
Jesus.
Pallbearers will be Orlando Arviso, Michael Ben, Shawn Ben, Broderick
Talk, Patrick Talk and Earl Tsosie.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Jennie Blackgoat
HOUCK Funeral services for Jennie Morgan Blackgoat, 73, will
be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21 at the Houck Catholic Church. Father
Cormac will officiate. Burial will follow in the Houk community cemetery.
Blackgoat died June 15 in Tucson. She was born June 10, 1932 in Houck
into the Zuni People Clan for the Edgewater People Clan.
Blackgoat attended school in Salt Lake, Utah. She was a member of the
Houck Catholic Church and enjoyed sewing, quilting and cooking.
Survivors include her husband, Sam Blackgoat; sons, Elven Blackgoat
of Gallup, Freddy Blackgoat of Kayenta, Roy Blackgoat of Houck, Sammy
Blackgoat of Lupton, Tommy Blackgoat of Flagstaff; daughters, Genevieve
Blackgoat Maclin of Edgewood Md.; 16 grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.
Blackgoat was preceded in death by Margaret Smith.
Pallbearers will be Kelvin Blackgoat, Elverett Blackgoat, Roy Blackgoat,
Jr., Emmanel Blackgoat, Sammy Blackgoat and Virgil Francisco.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Brian Jones
GANADO Funeral services for Brian Scott Jones, 19, were at 9
a.m. this morning, June 20 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
Saints, Ganado. Peter Lee Yazzie will officiate. Burial will follow
in the Ganado community cemetery.
Jones died June 14. He was born Jan. 12, 1986 in Fort Defiance into
the Edgewater People Clan for the Bitterwater People Clan.
Jones graduated in 2004 from Ganado High School and attended Collins
College, Tempe Ariz. He enjoyed nice cars, football and music.
Survivors include his parents, Tommy and Flora Jones; brother, Michael
Donaven Jones; sisters, Tamara Nicole Jones, Chalsea Andrea Jones; maternal
grandmother, Marie Williams; paternal grandparents, Tom and Irene Jones.
Jones was preceded in death by his greatgrandfather, Guy Clark and Jack
Williams Jr.
Pallbearers were Melvin Jones, Floyd Clark, Myron Jones, Robert James,
Craig Williams and Quentin Anderson.
The famliy will received relatives and friends at the Jones' residence
following services.
Yilthebah Ashley
WIDE RUINS Funeral services for Yilthebah Joe Ashley, 82, were
at 10 a.m. this morning June 20 at St. John the Evangelist Church. Father
Cormac Antram, O.F.M. will officiate. Burial will follow on a family
plot in Juniper Hill.
Ashley died June 15 in Albuquerque. She was born July 3, 1924 in Juniper
Hill into One Who Walks Around People Clan for the Mexican Water's Edge
People Clan.
Ashley was a homemaker, rug weaver, shepherder, traditional dress maker,
and quilt maker. She enjoyed weaving, sewing, harvesting and cooking
traditional meals.
Survivors include her sons, Charles T. Ashley of Juniper Hill, Billy
Y. Ashley of Albuquerque, John Ashley of Salt Lake City, Utah, Harry
Joe Ashley, Ronaldo Blackhorse Ashley of Mesa, Ariz.; daughter, Betty
A. Russell of Flagstaff; and six grandchildren.
Ashley was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ashley; father,
Hoska Enoswood; mother, Zonnie Enoswood; sister, Lena Baloo and brother,
Sam Joe.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Annie Willie
BREADSPRINGS Services are pending for Annie Joe Mike Willie,
79.
Willie died June 17 in Gallup. She was born Dec. 18, 1925 in Breadsprings
into the Red Running into Water People Clan for the Towering House People
Clan.

Annie Allen
BLUEWATER Services are pending for Annie Ruth Allen, 94.
Allen died June 19 in Bluewater Acres. She was born March 8, 1911 in
Bosque County, Texas.
