Police: Burglaries increasing locally

SAN RAFAEL — Cibola County Sheriff Sgt. Harry Hall says there is a rash of burglaries occurring in the county.

Recently, a home in San Rafael was burglarized and several items were stolen.

Hall is asking the public to call Crime Stoppers at (505) 287-8400 to help solve this case. All calls to Crime Stoppers are anonymous and a reward may be offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the burglary.

A "hot sheet" was issued by the Sheriff's Department seeking to recover the stolen items.

Stolen were:

  • A gold bracelet, with the name Alvita engraved on the top

  • Three gold chain necklace

  • A diamond engagement ring

  • Tool box, the size is unknown. Tools are inside.

  • One gold necklace with a Virgin Mary pendant

  • One gold necklace with a bird pendant

  • One necklace with a bird

  • Twenty-five dollars in coins

Anyone with information on these items and the burglary that occurred June 16, is asked to call the Crime Stoppers' number above, or Sgt. Hall at the Sheriff's department at (505) 287-8476.
