Nina Skeets
ROCKY POINT Services for Nina Jane Skeets, 54, will be at 10
a.m., Tuesday, July 5 at Rollie Mortuary. Pastor Jerry Tom will officiate.
Burial will follow at the family cemetery in Rocky Point.
Skeets died June 26 in Zuni. She was born Feb. 14, 1951 in Rocky Point
into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.
Skeets was a silversmith and she enjoyed cooking, playing cards, doing
jigsaw puzzles and listening to music.
Survivors include her sons, Alex Chee Jr., Anslem Chee and Vincent Chee,
all of Phoenix; daughter, Nita A. Skeets of Albuquerque; sisters, Gracie
Gatewood, Rosemary Joe, Marie Skeets and Christine John, all of Rocky
Point, Gloria Skeets of Gallup and Susie Skeets of Coeur D'alene, Idaho;
brother, Bennie Skeets of Coyote Canyon and six grandchildren.
She died with her longtime friend Robert Slowtalker.
She was preceded in death by her father Charlie Skeets.
Pallbearers will be Howard Eddie, Claude Ross Gatewood, Jr., Jack Joe
Jr., Roger John, and Roger (Duke) Skeets.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Robert Slowtalker
WINSLOW Services for Robert Slowtalker will be at 10 a.m., Saturday,
July 2 at the Indian Baptist Church in Winslow.
Slowtalker died June 26 with his longtime friend Nina Skeets. He was
born Sept. 1, 1950.
Survivors include his daughter Nita A. Skeets of Albuquerque and two
grandchildren.
Slowtalker was preceded in death by his parents Lamar Slowtalker and
Lorraine Slowtalker.
Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Danny Garcia
GALLUP Services for Danny Jason Garcia, 41, will be at 1 p.m.,
Tuesday, July 5 at the Gallup Christian Center - The Door. Pastor Tom
Payne will officiate. Burial will follow at the Gallup City Cemetery.
Garcia died June 30 in Gallup. He was born April 14, 1964 in Gallup
into the Meadow People Clan.
He attended school in Gallup and was employed with various construction
companies during his lifetime. His hobbies included bike riding, fishing,
gardening and pets.
Survivors include his sons, Bryon Garcia, Myron Garia, both of Window
Rock, Daniel Garcia and Nathaniel Garcia, both of Farmington; daughter,
Deandrea Garcia of Window Rock and Patrice Garcia of Farmington; mother,
Sally Garcia of Gallup; sisters, Roberta Begay of Church Rock and Gloria
Curtis of Twin Buttes; brothers, Ardene Garcia of Gallup and David Garcia
of San Diego; sisters, Joann Garcia and Jeannette McBroom, both of Gallup.
Garcia was preceded in death by his father, Jacob Perales Garcia, grandparents,
Elisa Garcia, Phillip Garcia and Tom A. Lewis.
Pallbearers will be Lorenzo Arviso, Ace Garcia, Arden Garcia, David
Garcia, Myron Garcia, Nathaniel Garcia, Ryan Garcia and Jacob McBroom.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Jimmy Segay
CHINLE, Ariz Services for Jimmy Segay, 52, will be at 10 a.m.,
Wednesday, July 6 at the Chinle Christian Center. Burial will follow
in the Chinle Community Cemetery.
Segay died June 30 in Payson, Ariz. He was born Oct. 4, 1951 into the
Red Running Into the Water People Clan for the Near the Water People
Clan.
Survivors include his sons Delbert Segay and Jeremiah Segay; sisters,
Marie Begay, Margorie Segay, Molly Segay and Marcy Segay, and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Segay; parents, Kee Chee
and Zonnie Segay; brother, Jerry Segay; sisters, Margaret Segay, Mary
Segay and Martha Gonnar.
Pallbearers will be Joel K. Begay, Jeremy K. Begay, Jerome Segay, Charles
Begay, Thomas Nez Jr., and Edwin White Singer.
The family will receive relatives and friends 1/4 mile north of Chinle
Police Department after services.
Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Isaac Allison
TOHATCHI Services for Isaac Allison, 96, will be announced at
a later date.
Allison died June 30 in Gallup. He was born Nov. 11, 1908 in Tohatchi
into the Hairy Ones People Clan for the Red Running into the Water People
Clan.
A family meeting will be held on Sunday, July 3 at 6 p.m. at the Tohatchi
Chapter House.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
