Deaths

David R. Dallago Sr.

GALLUP — Funeral mass for David R. Dallago, Sr., 73, will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 25 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Father Gonzalo Guzman, O.F.M. will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.

A rosary will be recited this evening at 7 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Dallago died Jan. 22 in Gallup. He was born March 25, 1931 in Gallup.

Dallago attended Gallup schools. He served two tours in the Korean Conflict as a medic in the Third Division US Army. He married in Aug. 1952 and was married 53 years. Dallago learned the plumbing trade and became a union member of local 412. He started operating his own mechanical contracting business for 37 years. Dallago was a member of the VFW, the Order of the Cooties, Elks Club, Sierra Club, Prince Luigi, K of C Forth Degree, St. Francis Parish, PTA, NMPHCC and the GHS Booster Club. He was a six term county commissioner. Dallago enjoyed hunting and fishing in the Zuni Mountains and rooted and had season tickets to the Arizona Cardinals.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Dallago of Gallup; sons, Anthony P. Dallago of Chandler, Ariz., David R. Dallago, Jr. of Gallup; brothers, Louis Dallago of Richardson, Texas, Manuel Dallago of Gallup, Jerry Reyna of Gallup, Jesus Reyna of Grants and five grandchildren.

Dallago is preceded in death by his father, E. Manuel Dallago; mother, Eva Reyna; daughter, Catherine Ann Dallago; son, Ronald Lynn Dallago; sisters, Anita Chavez, Lupe Sanchez; brothers, Valentine Dallago, Pete Parra, Rudy Parra, Salvador Parra, Simon Parra, and stepfather, Jesus Reyna.

Pallbearers will be Howard Estrada, Harry Mendoza, Benny Padilla, Marty Rodriguez, Robert Rosales, Sr. and Lucio Valdez.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Clara V. Morgan

SACATON — Funeral services for Clara Virginia Morgan, 74, will be at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 25 at the Rivers of Life Assembly of God Church, Sacaton. Marty Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery.

Morgan died Jan. 25 in Chandler, Ariz. She was born May 12, 1930 in Zuni.

Morgan attended school in Zuni, Santa Fe Indian School and graduated from Lindrith High School. Morgan lived in Churchrock and Window Rock before moving to Sacaton in 1975. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and watching sports on the television.

Survivors include her son, Melvin Morgan; daughter, Emily Justin; mother, Della Anton; brother, Luke Anton, Jr.; sisters, Anna Sorrell of Yatahey, Doris Naranjo of Gamerco; Rebecca Anton, Rhoda Anton both of Gallup, Marie Lewis of Mesita, Lucille Gallegos of Albuquerque; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Morgan was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Morgan; father, Luke Anton Sr.; sisters Sarah James and Bernice Smith.

Pallbearers will be Roland Justin, Graig Lowe, Christopher Price, Ryan King, Lyn Anton and Wayne Ellison.
