Uhl Quinton Martinez
PHOENIX, Ariz. Funeral services for Uhl Q. Martinez, 42, will
be at 1 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 20 at Klagetoh Catholic Church, Klagetoh,
Ariz. Father Will McCue will officiate. Private disposition will be
in Pismo Beach, Calif.
Martinez died Jan. 10 in Glendale, Ariz. He was born May 13, 1961 in
Shiprock into the Black Streaked Wood People Clan for the Nakai People
Clan.
Survivors include his son, Drew Martinez of Chinle; daughter, Victoria
Martinez of Chinle; brother, Kee Nez Grinde of Tempe, Ariz.; sister,
Sydney M. Holderness of Seattle, Wash.; paternal grandparents, Mike
and Verna Martinez.
Martinez was preceded in death by his father, Miguel Martinez of Visalia,
Calif.; mother, Sarah Nez Grinde; brother, Miguel Martinez; daughter,
Kristen Martinez.
Pallbearers will be Drew Martinez, Kee Nez Grinde, Dim Jeans, Wilford
Jeans, Chris Baca and Jonathon Ivans.
Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Billy Wauneka
FORT DEFIANCE, Ariz. Funeral services for Billy Wauneka, 41,
were at 10 a.m., this morning, Tuesday, Jan. 18 at the Good Shepard
Mission, Fort Defiance. Burial followed in St. Michael's Community Cemetery.
Wauneka died Jan. 8 in Shiprock. He was born August 29, 1963 in Sugar
City, Idaho into the Mud People Clan for the Coyote Pass People Clan.
Wauneka enjoyed being outdoors, riding horses, and western movies. He
attended Teton Middle School in Idaho and was employed as a sheepherder
throughout the Navajo Reservation.
Survivors include his brothers, Daniel Wauneka, Paul Wauneka, George
Wauneka, Jerry Wauneka; sisters, Mary Nez, Ella May Thompson, Louise
Murphy, Marilyn Murphy.
Wauneka was preceded in death by Charlie Wauneka, Jr., Eunice Wauneka,
Ben Wauneka, Harry Wauneka, Alice and Kenneth Wauneka.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Wauneka, Jerry Wauneka, George Wauneka, Ricky
Murphy, Robert Murphy III and Lewis Murphy Jr.
The family received relatives and friends following burial one-half
mile west of Damon Turn off, Window Rock.
Tse Bonito Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Ollie James Howard
FARMINGTON Funeral services for Ollie James "Jim"
Howard, 41, will be Wednesday, Jan. 19, at Brewer, Lee and Larkin funeral
home. Burial will follow in Kirtland cemetery.
A visitation will be held today, Jan. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brewer,
Lee and Larkin funeral home.
Howard died Jan. 14 in Farmington. He was born Sept. 4, 1962 in Scottsburg,
Ind.
Survivors include his father, Mickey Marks of Gallup; sons, William
Marks of Gallup, Eddy Howard of Farmington; grandmother, Ruth Narron;
brother, Donald Howard of Gallup; and sister, Shawn Marie Gray of Farmington.
Howard was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Marks; grandfather,
William J. Narron and sister, Trena Lee.
Pallbearers will be William Marks, Don Howard, Ed Snow, Billy Lewis,
Roger Daily, Mark Orozco, Victor Villegas and Grego Apuchito
Wilbert A. Sloan
GALLUP Services for Wilbert A. Sloan, 66, will be announced
at a later date.
Sloan died Jan. 16 in Albuquerque. He was born April 7, 1938 in Borrego
Pass into the Hairy People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
