Theodore Kinsel
TWIN LAKES Funeral services for Theodore Kinsel, 96, will be
at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1 at Cope Memorial Chapel. Pastor Eddie
Rodriguez will officiate. Burial will be in the city cemetery.
Kinsel died Feb. 24. He was born July 23, 1908 in Twin Lakes into the
Edge Water People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.
Kinsel was a rancher and worked at Fort Wingate Army Depot. He enjoyed
sheepherding, ranching, and family.
Survivors include his son, Larry Yazzie of Naschitti; daughters, Susie
K. Watson, Stella M. Shirley both of Twin Lakes, Bertha Francis of Gallup;
18 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Kinsel was preceded in death by his wife, Mary A. Kinsel; daughter,
Shirley M. Jones and two grandsons.
Pallbearers will be Albert Watson, Dean Watson, Virgil Watson, Sr.,
Michael Jones, Delbert Shirley and Duane Smith, Sr.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Chee Dodge Elementary
following burial.
Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.

LUPTON Funeral services for James Yazzie, 85, will be at 10
a.m. on Tuesday, March 1 at Rollie Mortuary Palm Chapel. Burial will
be on private land.
Yazzie died Feb. 25 in Albuquerque. He was born July 19, 1919 in Jones
Ranch into the One Who Walks Around Another People Clan for the Black
Streak People Clan.
Survivors include his wife, Lucy Yazzie; daughters, Lori Bennett, Loretta
Joe, Lavalle Mota, Lorencita Murphy, Lucinda Yazzie all of Lupton, Matilda
Joe of Gallup, Dolly Gonzales of Crookston, Min.; sons, Alfred Yazzie
of Lupton, Darrill Yazzie of White River, Justin Yazzie of Tsayatoh;
step-brothers, Joe H. Begay of Jones Ranch, Charlie Yazzie of Lupton,
Monroe Yazzie ofAlbuquerque; step-sisters, Dorothy Bitsilly of Tohatchi,
Alice James of Jones Ranch; 30 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Yazzie was preceded in death by his father; mother; daughter, Alice
Yazzie; sons, Gary Yazzie, Phillip Yazzie; sisters, Ella Begay and Mary
Begay.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Baldwin, Dennis Murphy, Darrill Yazzie, Davin
Yazzie, Fredrick Yazzie and Justin Yazzie.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
