GALLUP Services for Rebecca R. Anton, 59, will be at 10 a.m.
on Friday, Feb. 25 at Rollie Mortuary. Burial will be in the Eastside
Cemetery, Sacaton, Ariz.
Anton died Feb. 21 in Gallup. She was born July 29, 1945 in Black Rock,
McKinley.
She enjoyed cooking, reading, baking and watching sports on television.
Survivors include her son, Ryan L. King of Gallup; mother, Della Antone
of Sacaton; brother, Luke Anton, Jr. of Phoenix; sisters, Rhonda Anton
of Church Rock, Lucille Gallegoes of Albuquerque, Marie Lewis of Mesita;
Doris Naranjo of Gamerco and Anabelle Sorrell of Yahtahey.
Anton was preceded in death by her father, Luke Anton, Sr.; sisters,
Sarah James, Clara Morgan and Bernice Smith.
Pallbearers will be friends and family members.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
David E. Tutt
FARMINGTON Services for David Emmett Tutt, 79, were Monday,
Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church. Dr. Craig Curry
officiated. Burial was in Pepin, Wis.
Tutt died Feb. 17 in Farmington. He was born March 8. 1925 in St. Paul,
Minn
Tutt came to the Navajo Methodist Mission School to work with the Navajo
people. He was asked to translate the Bible in Navajo. Tutt could speak
read and write in Navajo. He also served at the Bisti Mission for 10
years.
Survivors include his wife, Goldie Seifert Tutt of Famington; sons,
Tim Tutt, Tom Tutt, Ted Tutt; daughter, Tricia Shelly; brothers, Darrell
Tutt, Roy Tutt; sisters, Eva Hallberg, Betty Morland, Amy Backlund,
Elsie Wynia and seven grandchildren.
Tutt was preceded in death buy his parents, David H. Tutt and Emily
B. Tutt.
Pallbearers were Tim Tutt, Tom Tutt, Ted Tutt, Luther Shelly, David
Tutt and Terence Shelly.
Cope Memorial was in charge of arrangements.
Sam D. Shirley
FORT DEFIANCE Services for Sam D. Shirley, 91 will be announced
at a later date.
Shirley died Feb. 23 in Fort Defiance. He was born Oct. 5, 1913 in Deer
Springs into the Honeycomb Rock People Clan for the One Who Walks Around
People Clan.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
