LOS CHAVEZ, N.M. Funeral Mass for Vivian Sandoval, 71, will
be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23 at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will take place at 5:30 p.m. today, Feb. 22 followed by a
rosary at 6 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home Chapel in Belen.
Sandoval died Feb. 19. She was born on July 25, 1933 in Bernallilo,
N.M.
Sandoval was a resident of Gallup from 1965 to 1984. She enjoyed camping
and the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. She was
a member of the Senior Citizens of Belen and her hobbies included dancing.
Survivors include her children Richard Sandoval and Cathy Mora of Los
Chavez, Linda Sherman of Belen, Ron Sandoval of Tijeras and Manuel Sandoval
of Las Cruces; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Sandoval was preceded in death by her husband Florenz M. Sandoval and
her parents, Jose and Sofia Rosales.
Pallbearers will be Manuel Sandoval, Richard Sandoval, Ron Sandoval,
Richard Sandoval Jr., David Michael, Brian, Andrew, Stacey, Pamel, Michelle,
Danielle and Tonya.
Jesse Whiting
OREM, UTAH Services for Jesse Hillard Whiting, 77, will be at
11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb 23 at the Lakeview 3rd Ward Chapel, 155 West
1600 South in Orem, Utah. Visitation will be today, Feb. 22 from 6-8
p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Funeral Home in Orem and one hour prior to
services at the ward chapel on Wednesday. Interment will be in the Orem
City Cemetery.
Whiting died Feb. 18. He was born Feb 17, 1928 in Manti Utah.
Whiting was a member of the LDS church. He and his wife served a mission
in St. Michaels, Ariz. His hobbies included gardening.
Survivors include his sons Bruce Whiting, Doug Whiting, Andrew Whiting,
Larry Whiting and Kelly Whiting and a daughter, Laura Taylor; brothers
Merlin Dee Whiting, Ben Earl Whiting and one sister Helen Hall.
Whiting was preceded in death by his wife Carla Whiting; brothers Clarence
Armon Whiting, Shelby Loraine Whiting and Roger Leigh Whiting; sisters,
Nelma Hanson and Shirley Whiting and two grandchildren.

Lloyd Taliman
KLAGETOH, Ariz. Services for Lloyd Paul Taliman, 78, will be
at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, Feb. 22 at the All Saints Catholic Church
in Ganado, Ariz. Burial will follow in Confields, Ariz.
Taliman died Feb. 17 in Klagetoh. He was born Sept. 13, 1926 in Cornfields
into the Zuni People Clan/Red Running into the Water People Clan for
the Honeycombed People Clan.
Taliman attended Fort Wingate and Chilocco Indian School in Fort Sill,
Okla. He worded for the BIA Roads Department in Washington and on the
railroad in various places. He enjoyed ranching, fishing, hunting and
doing leather crafts. His hobbies included studying the history of landmarks
and spending time with family.
Survivors include his daughters Patricia Whitefoot and Marie Olney,
both of White Swan Wash., and Gloria Taliman of Wakima, Wash.; brothers,
Dan Taliman of Window Rock and Frank Taliman of Houck, Ariz.; sisters
Lena Jones and Sadie Bahe, both of Cronfields, eight grandchildren and
12 great-grandchildren.
Taliman was preceded in death by his first wife Nancy Whitefoot Taliman,
second wife, Mary Taliman; parents Sam and Mae Taliman; son, Leory Taliman;
daughters, Sherry, Daisy and Beverly Taliman; brothers, Sam Taliman
Jr., Michael Taliman and David Taliman, and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Stephen R. Dale, Adrian Brown, Patrick Tsosie, Virgil
Tsosie, Casper Austin, and Steven Dale, Jr.
The famly will receive friends and relatives at the Cornfields Chapter
House after services.
Olson Van Chee
CRYSTAL, N.M. Funeral services for Olson Van Chee, 46, will
be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23 at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Father
Gilbert Schneider, OFM will officiate.
Chee died Feb. 17 in Fort Defiance, Ariz. He was born Sept. 1, 1959
in Old Sawmill, Ariz into the Water Edge People Clan for the Bitter
Water People Clan.
Chee attended Window Rock Unified School. He worked for N.F.P.I., N.H.A.
and N.E.C.A. Chee was a horsetrainer and enjoyed playing the guitar.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene Chee; sons, Irving Chee of Springstead,
Orson Chee of Camp Lejeune, N.C., Terry V. Chee of Crystal, N.M.; daughters,
Violanda Chee, Jaclyn Chee, and Tara Chee, all of Crystal, N.M.; brother,
Randall V. Chee of Spider Rock, Ariz.; sister, Evelyn Vanchee of Navajo,
N.M., and one grandchild.
Chee was preceded in death by his parents, Kee and Rose Vanchee; brother,
Elwin Vanchee.
Pallbearers will be Irving Chee, Orson Chee, Ruscue Smith, Milton, Bitso,
Benjamin Holona, and Medero Tsosie.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Crystal Community Chapter
House.
