Narcissa Rose Patrick

TOHATCHI — Funeral services for Narcissa Rose Patrick, 81, will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23 at United Pentecostal Indian Church. Pastor Jerry Eastridge will officiate. Burial will be in Tohatchi Community Cemetery.

Visitation will be between 4 and 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 22 at Rollie Mortuary Chapel.

Patrick died Feb. 18 in Albuquerque. She was born Dec. 11, 1923 in Tohatchi, N.M. into the Folded Arms People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.

Patrick enjoyed sewing, reading, weaving, and she was a rancher. She enjoyed things that were of the arts and crafts nature, where she could use her creative mind.

Survivors include her daughter, Charlene R. Cook of Rio Rancho, N.M.; sisters, Marion Davis of Wheatfield, Ariz. and Rosemary Jarvison of Tohatchi, N.M.; brother, Harry Plummer Sr. of Tohatchi, N.M; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Patrick was preceded in death by her husband, David Patrick; father, Charlie John; mother, Annie Becenti; brother, Alvin Becenti.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Charley McFarland

GRANTS — Funeral services for Charley McFarland, 53, will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 22 at First Baptist Church, Grants. Rev. Jeffery Grow Pastor of Calvary Church will officiate. Internment will be in Grants Memorial Park.

McFarland died Feb. 18 in Grants. He was born August 26, 1951 in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

McFarland moved to Grants in 1958 from Leadville, Colo. He started first grade at Sierra Vista Elementary School and was graduated from Grants High School in 1969. He attended New Mexico Highland University for a brief time. He then married in 1974 and worked as a meat cutter until he retired in 1992. He served as interim Pastor of Calvary Christian Fellowship and loved to study and teach God's Word.

Survivors include his wife, Diane McFarland of Grants; sons, Cayden McFarland of Abilene, Texas, Kevin McFarland of Albuquerque; sisters, Charlene Martin of Grants, Patricia Gonzales of Milan and many nieces and nephews.

McFarland was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marie McFarland; sister, Barbara Shero; son, Charles McFarland III.

Pallbearers will be Randy Roberts, Lynn Lee, Mike Brown, Terry Brown, Donnie Abeyta, George Ortiz, and Terry Farley.

Grants Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Mary Turner

GALLUP — Funeral services for Mary Turner, 95, are pending and will be announced at a later date.

Turner died Feb. 20 in Gallup. She was born August 27, 1909 in Bluefield, West Virginia.

Compassion Mortuary of Grants is in charge of arrangements.
