Emerson Brown Sr.
NAZLINI Funeral services for Emerson "Ace" Brown,
Sr., 40, will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16 at Cope Memorial Chapel.
Sister Terry Goodwin will officiate. Burial will follow in the Gallup
City Cemetery.
Brown, Sr. died Feb. 11 in Continental Divide. He was born May 18, 1964
in Gallup into the Towering House People for the Saline Water People
Clan.
Brown Sr. was graduated from Gallup High. He worked for Gallup car parts,
California Superama, Navajo Shoping Center, and was currently working
for W.W.C. Construction of Albuquerque. Brown enjoyed bullriding, horses,
welding, and working on cars.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Brown; sons, Emerson "Ace"
Brown, Jr., Emery C. Brown; daughters, Phyllisa A. Brown; mother, Mary
R. Brown; brothers, Hemerson Brown, Albert J. Brown, Anderson Brown;
sisters, Rose Rodriguez, Henrietta Sam, Carol Largo and Brenda Brown.
Brown Sr. was preceded in death by his father, Henry Brown; maternal
grandparents, John and Alice Smith; paternal grandparents, George and
Mary Brown and three uncles.
Pallbearers will be Hemerson Brown, Albert J. Brown, Anderson Brown,
Sr., Wendell Rodriguez, Rick Martinez and Sandy Beyale.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Red Rock Chapter.
Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.
Donald J. Ramirez
SAN RAFAEL Funeral mass for Donald John Ramirez, 54, will be
at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at the San Rafael Catholic Church. Burial
will follow in the San Rafael community cemetery.
A rosary will be recited this evening at 7 p.m. at the San Rafael Catholic
Church.
Ramirez died Feb. 10 in San Rafael. He was born Sept. 15, 1950 in Albuquerque.
Survivors include his son, Don Paul of Grants; daughters, Ranell Ramirez,
Linda Rose Ramirez both of Grants; brothers, Nick Ramirez, Phillip Ramirez,
Mario Ramirez all of Albuquerque, Tommy Ramirez of San Rafael; sisters,
Evelyn Gonzales of Milan, Prescilla Ramirez of Milan and seven grandchildren.
Ramirez was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Estfana Ramirez.
Pallbearers will be Steven Gonzales, Matthew Ramirez, Charles Ramirez,
Francisco Ramirez, Stevie Gonzales and Cecil Ramirez.
Compassion Mortuary of Grants, is in charge of arrangements.
Diana L. Saavedra
GRANTS Funeral services for Diana L. Saavadra, 45, will be at
10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16 at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church,
Cubero. Father Lawrence Bernard, O.F.M. will officiate. Burial will
follow in Cubero Cemetery.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 3 p.m. at Our Lady of
Light Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday
evening.
Survivors include her sons, Patrick Saavedra of Cubero, Fabian Saavedra
of Los Lunas, Adam Saavedra of Cubero; brothers, Lawrence Saavedra of
Las Lunas, Frankie Saavedra of Grants, Peter Saavedra of Belen, Anthony
Saavedra of Casa Blanca; sisters, Loretta Chavez of Milan, Betty Lopez
of Cubero, Josie Saavedra, Martha Farias, Rosie Gonzales all of Cubero.
Saavedra was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Priscilla Saavedra
and brother, Patrick Saavedra.
Pallbearers will be Lawrence Saavedra, Jr., Robbie Farias, Beatle Lopez,
Jerry Chavez, Lawrence Gonzales and Fabian Saavedra.
Martin Keeto
HUNTERS POINT Funeral mass for Martin Keeto, 40, was at 10 a.m.
this morning, Feb. 14 at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Father Gilbert
officiated. Burial was in the St. Michaels cemetery.
Keeto died Feb. 9 in Albuquerque. He was born July 13, 1964 in Fort
Defiance into the Near the Water People Clan for the Bitterwater People
Clan.
Keeto graduated from Tohatchi High School in 1982. He worked for Motorola
in Tempe. Keeto enjoyed native arts and crafts, playing the guitar and
listening to music.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa Archie; sons, Kyle Keeto, Markland
Keeto; daughter, Ashleigh Keeto; father, Paul C. Keeto; mother, Martina
Keeto; brothers, Mike Keeto, Mel Keeto, El Keeto, Irv Keeto, Merv Keeto,
Lee Keeto; sisters, Lynn Tsinnijinnie, Vida Keeto.
Keeto was preceded in death by his brother, Cal Keeto.
Pallbearers will be Mel Keeto, El Keeto, Irv Keeto, Merv Keeto, Lee
Keeto and Gary Pahe.
Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
