ALBUQUERQUE Viewing services for Ronnie Patrick Kelsey, 73,
will be from 4 to 8 p.m. this evening at French Mortuary, Albuquerque.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque.
Kelsey died Feb. 6 in Albuquerque. He was born Feb. 6, 1932.
Kelsey graduated from Cathedral High School in 1950. He served in the
U.S. Navy for four years as quarter master-second class during the Korean
War. He served aboard the USS Essex, USS Point Cruz, and the USS Curtiss.
Kelsey was employed for 30 years as a plant operator witht El Paso Gas
Co. and retired to live in Albuquerque.
Survivors include his wife, Maura Olivia Kelsey; sons, Keith Kelsey,
Kevin Kelsey, Kenneth Kelsey, Karl Kelsey; daughters, Karen Zweiacher,
Kathy Kelsey; and 12 grandchidren.
Kelsey was preceded in death by his mother, Corinne Myers; father, Louie
Kelsey; and Christopher Barros.
Josephine Tierney
GALLUP Funeral mass for Josephine P. Tierney, 81, will be at
10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10 at Sacred Heart Cathedral. The Very Rev.
Lawrence J. O'Keefe will officiate. Interment will be in the Guardian
Angel Cemetery, Rochester, Mich.
A rosary will be recited this evening at 7 p.m. at Rollie Mortuary Palm
Chapel.
Tierney died Feb. 8 in Gallup. She was born March 14, 1923 in Detroit,
Mich. Tierney lived in Gallup for over 21 years and was employed with
JC Penny for over 18 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral
and "Where Two or Three" scripture group. Tierney enjoyed
watching movies and reading.
Survivors include her daughters, Colleen Piano of Gallup, Cathleen McDonald
of Chesterfield, Mich.; son, Brian Tierney of Shelby Township, Mich.;
sister, Rose Colombo of Roseville, Mich.; brother, Frank Colombo of
Roseville; and 10 grandchildren.
Tierney was preceded in death by her husband, John Tierney; father,
Carlo Colombo; mother, Angela Colombo and a grandaughter.
Pallbearers will be Chelsea Piano, Eric Piano, Jasper Piano, Johnny
Piano, Lance Piano, Tommy Piano and Jim Wallace.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Virginia Garfield
FORT MCDERMITT, Nev. Funeral services for Virginia W. Garfield,
82 will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12 at the Fort McDermitt Tribal
Gym. Interment will be in the Fort McDermitt Cemetery.
Garfield died Feb. 6 in Fort Defiance. She was born Nov. 15, 1922 in
Fort McDermitt, Nev.
Survivors include her daughters, Juanita Byron of Anchorage, Ala.; Arlene
Garfield of Window Rock; son, Craig Garfield of McDermitt; sisters,
Ivie Garfield of McDermitt, Norma Johnny of Fallon, Nev.; brother, Perry
Wasson of McDermitt; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and
one great-great-grandchild.
Garfield was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Garfield; father,
John Wasson; mother, Ada Wasson; sisters, Adenia Wasson, Dicy Wasson,
Gertie Wasson, Katy Wasson, Maybelle Wasson, Lucy Wasson-Lowery; brothers,
Fred Wasson, Seymore Wasson, and Tom Wasson.
Pallbearers will be family members.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Juvenal Gomez
GALLUP Services for Juvenal Gomez, 76, were at 10 a.m. this
morning at French Mortuary, Albuquerque.
Gomez died Feb. 5. He was born Feb. 1, 1929 in Albuquerque.
Gomez delivered papers at age 12 and would go on to work for the United
States Postal Service where he retired after 30 years of service. He
enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline; son, Jay Gomez of Gallup; daughter,
Patty Gomez; brothers, Marcelino Gomez, Gustavo Gomez; six grandchildren
and five great-grandchildren.
Gomez was preceded in death by his brother, Roman Gomez; sisters, Modesta
Gomez, Mercedes Lopez and parents, Altagracia and Vincent Gomez.
Marie Curley
GANADO Funeral services for Marie B. Curley, 80, will be at
the Ganado Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Saturday,
Feb. 12. Burial will be on family land.
A visitation will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12.
Curley died Feb. 6 in Fort Defiance. She was born Dec. 23, 1925 in Ganado
into the Tangle People Clan for the Waters Edge People Clan.
Survivors include her sons, Eric Padzeinny(Henry), Tom Curley; daughters,
Julie M. Billy, Evelyn M. Curley, Bernice B. Reyes, Susie M. Valenzuela;
brothers, Oliver Kirk; and daughter, Phoebe Henderson.
Curley was preceded in death by her parents Ms. Winkle and Hosteen Bennett;
brothers, John Mego and Phillip Bennet; sisters, Evelyn B. Tso and Marie
Silversmith.
Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
