Nick Bubany Sr.
GALLUP Funeral services for Nick Bubany Sr., 91, will be at
1 p.m. at Rollie Mortuary Palm Chapel. Interment will follow in Hillcrest
Cemetery.
Bubany died Feb. 5 in Albuquerque. He was born Dec. 6, 1913 in Grandville,
Ill.
Bubany served with the 5th Armored Division Aberedeen Proving Grounds,
Maryland and U.S. Coast Guard, Long Beach, Calif. during WWII. Bubany
worked as a welder and mechanic at the Fort Wingate Army Depot and the
Santa Fe Railroad before opening Nick's Automotive Service, which he
ran for over 20 years. When he was 60, Bubany attended the Gallup Branch
and recieved a teaching degree and worked as a welding instructor at
Navajo Community College. He was a lifelong member of the Knights of
Columbus Fray Marcas Lodge and Croation Catholic Lodge
Survivors include his daughters, Carol Biava of Rio Rancho, Rosemary
Pajuen of Albuquerque; son, Nick Bubany Jr. of Gallup; brothers, Anthony
Bubany of Gallup, John Bubany of Lawrenceburg, Ky.; sister, Frances
Turcotte of Gallup; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Bubany Sr.was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Pauline Bubany; father,
Steve Bubany; mother, Mary Moredo; brothers, Frank Bubany and Rudy Bubany.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Banning, John Biava, Sr., John Biava, Jr.,
Fred Davis, Mickey Fuhs and Craig Scoopmire.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Syleesha Tyra Yannett
SANDERS Funeral servies are pending for Syleesha Tyra Yannett,
infant.
Yannett died Feb. 5 in Gallup. She was born Sept. 21 in Gallup into
the Red Streak People Clan for the SaltWater People Clan.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Virginia W. Garfield
FORT MCDERMITT, Nev. Services are pending for Virginia W. Garfield,
82.
Garfield died Feb. 6 in Fort Defiance. She was born Nov. 15, 1922 in
Fort McDermitt.
