Charles M. Etcitty Sr.
NAZLINI Funeral services for Charles Mike Etcitty, Sr., 82,
will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 23 at the All Saints Mission,
Ganado. Father Flann O'Neil, O.F.M. will officiate. Burial will follow
at the Nazlini Community Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services beginning at 9 a.m.
Etcitty, Sr. died April 16 in Chinle. He was born April 7, 1923 in Lake
Valley into the Towering House People Clan for the Sleeping Rock People
Clan.
Etcitty, Sr. retired from the Union Pacific Railroad. He was a mechanic
and enjoyed watching wrestling.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Etcitty of Nazlini; sons, Charles
Etcitty, Jr. of Nazlini, Edison Etcitty of Rock Springs, Marshall Etcitty
of Wood Springs, Benson Etcitty of Klagetoh; daughters, Carmalita Etcitty
of Phoenix, Beverly Pahe of Nazlini, Patricia Pahe of Gallup; sister,
Lillie Beyale of Lake Valley; 27 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Etcitty, Sr. was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Juan Etcitty
and son, Mike Etcitty.
Pallbearers will be Edison Etcitty, Benson Etcitty, Marshall Etcitty,
Charles Etcitty, Jr., Sandy Beyale and Tyrone Etcitty.
Grace H. Watchman
SHIPROCK Funeral services for Grace H. Watchman, 66, will be
held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 23 at the family residence in Toadlena.
Pastor Richard Watchman will officiate. Burial will be in the family
cemetery.
Watchman died April 19 in Shiprock. She was born June 4, 1938 in Toadlena.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Watchman of Shiprock; daughters,
Carol Jones of Montezuma Creek, Utah, Caroline Benally of Shiprock;
sisters, Annie Watchman of Shiprock, Nellie Smiley of Toadlena and four
grandchildren.
Watchman was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Nez.
Pallbearers will be Alfred Jones, Jr., Victor Ashley, Alfred Jones,
Sr., Wilson P. Benally, Leroy Begay, Jr. and Roy Smiley.
Joe John
COYOTE CANYON Funeral services for Joe John, 73, will be at
10 a.m. on Saturday, April 23 at Cope Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow
at the Gallup City Cemetery.
John died April 19 in Albuquerque. He was born Feb. 5, 1932 in Coyote
Canyon into the Meadow People Clan for the Bitterwater People Clan.
John retired from the Union Pacific Railroad and Santa Fe Railroad.
He was a rancher, a well-known silversmith and member of the Native
American Church.
Survivors include his sons, Gilbert John, Hilbert John, Delvin John
all of Twin Lakes, Everett John of Albuquerque; daughters, Matilda John,
Marlinda John-Thompson, Alberta John all of Twin Lakes; brothers, Lloyd
John of Church Rock, Albert John of Tohlakai; sisters, Francis Tom,
Ramona Cowboy, Rita Smiley all of Coyote Canyon; 11 grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Eva and Frank John; sons,
Lawrence John, Delbert John and Terry John.
Pallbearers will be Delvin John, Hilbert John, Laird Thompson, Wilbert
Thompson and Kendrix John.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Coyote Chapter
House.
Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.
Anthony R. Largo Sr.
CROWNPOINT Memorial services for Anthony R. Largo, Sr., 42,
will be on Sunday, April 24 at the Gospel Light House.
Survivors include his father, Jimmy R. Largo.
Pastor Ben Billie
COYOTE CANYON Funeral services for pastor Ben Billie, 79, will
be announced at a later date.
Pastor Billie died April 21 in Albuquerque. He was born Nov. 26, 1925
in Coyote Canyon.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
