Walter Leroy Owen

GAMERCO — Services for Walter Leroy Owen, 70, will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 21 at the Fellowship Church. Grace Lueras will officiate. Burial will be in the Green Lawn Cemetery, Farmington.

Owen died April 18 in Gamerco. He was born April 21, 1934 in Payne, Iowa.

He was in the US Army.

Survivors include his wife, Janey Owen; son, Kevin Owen; stepsons, Bobby Williams, Craig Macias; daughter, Tricia Feltner; sister, Lois Brown and eight grandchildren.

Owen was preceded in death by his father, Mack Owen; mother, Irene Owen; sisters, Dorothy Miller, Pearl Owen and Evelyn Huss.

Pallbearers will be Robert Williams, Craig Macias, Terry Lutsie, Jerry Guillen, Jacob Williams and Andre Lobato.

Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.


Stella Pawlowski

HOUSTON, Texas — Funeral services for Stella Pawlowski, 90, were held on March 28 at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, Houston. Burial followed on March 31 at the St. Mary's Cemetery, Portland, Conn.

Pawlowski died March 22 in Houston. She was born Oct. 1, 1914 in Montville, Conn.

Pawlowski attended local schools and worked on a family farm. She obtained a position at Robert Gair Company. Pawlowski married in 1937 and shortly thereafter moved to Portland, Conn. to open a new plant. She would later work at the Wesleyan University library in Middletown.

Survivors include her sons, Jim, Bob, Fran; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.


Mae Attson

CHINLE — Funeral services for Mae Marie Attson, 90, will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 22 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Chinle. Burial will be in Chinle.

Attson died April 18 in Chinle. She was born May 7, 1914 in Chinle into the Edgewater People Clan for the Bigwater People Clan.

Attson was a homemaker.

Survivors include her sons, John Mitchell, Sr., Charley Mitchell, Richard Attson, Sr., William Attson, Sr.; daughters, Rose Charley, Dorothy Smith, Louise Savala, Ruth Burbank, Grace Attson; brother, Billie Sarracino; sisters, Pauline Jones, Sadie Yazzie, Linda Pioche; 36 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Attson was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Attson, Sr.; parents, Totsohni Yazzie and Gilbah Yazzie; son, Herman Attson, Jr.; sisters, Hasbah Naswood, Fannie Multine, Frances Claw and Sally McKinley.

Pallbearers will be John Mitchell, Sr., Charley Mitchell, Richard Attson, Sr., William Attson, Kyle Nodestine, Aaron Logan, Cecil Attson, Bryan Attson, Christopher Attson, Jerry Savala, Richard Attson, Jr. and Ronald Attson.

The family will receive relatives and friends at NHA Sunnyside #97.

Henry Andrews

GRANTS — Services for Henry Ellis Andrews Sr., 97, will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 21 at the Thoreau Baptist Church. Pastor Bob Brittian will officiate.

Andrews died April 16 in Grants. He was born on Nov. 3, 1907 in Taylor, Texas. Andrews was a rancher and prospector.

Survivors include his wife, Ida W. Andrews of Grants; son, Wesley Charles Andrews of Hemphill, Texas; daughters, Nadine Brodd of Albuquerque, Sylvia Gonzales of Grants and Rhoda Anzures of Rio Rancho; 25 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Clark Andrews and Lilly Andrews; son, Henry Ellis Andrews, Jr., and one daughter, Betty Bottoms.

Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Dean Benally Jr.

JONES RANCH — Services for Dean Benally, Jr., 40, of Jones Ranch, N.M. will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 21 at the Pine Tree Mission Church. Burial will follow at the Pine Tree Cemetery.

Benally died April 16 in Albuquerque. He was born July 24, 1964 in Gallup into the Edgewater People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.

Survivors include his children Audrey Benally, Levi Benally and Dino Benally, all of Mentmore; sister, Judy Hale of Denver; brothers, Russell Benally of Gallup, Stanley Benally of Jones Ranch, Chavez Benally of Mesa, Ariz., Tommy Benally of Jones Ranch and Kenneth Benally of Shonto, Ariz.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dean Benally Sr., and Louann Lee Benally and one brother, Max Benally.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.
