Margaret Ramirez
ALBUQUERQUE Funeral Mass for Margaret Ramirez, 87, will be
at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13 at Santuario de San Martin Catholic
Church, 8301 Camino San Martin SW. Father Vance will officiate. Burial
of cremated remains will follow at a later date.
Visitation will be from 9 to 9:30 a.m. with a rosary to follow.
Ramirez died April 8 in Albuquerque.
She was a member of the Catholic Church.
Survivors include her children, Richard Ramirez, Henry Ramirez, Fermie
Ramirez, Climaco Ramirez, Joe D. Ramirez, Nicholas Ramirez, Frank Ramirez
Jr., Ernest Ramirez, Bernard Ramirez, Antonia Ramirez; brothers, Bennie
Diaz, Herman Bustamante; sister Priscilla Fuentes; 22 grandchildren,
32 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Ramirez was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ramirez; mother,
Feliz Bustamante; father, Climaco Diaz; daughters, Vera Ramirez, Ofella
Ramirez; brother, Martin Diaz.
Mary James
GANADO Services for Mary Lee James, 85, will be at 10 a.m.,
Wednesday, April 13 at the Ganado Baptist Church. Rev. Gobby will officiate.
Burial will be in the community cemetery in Ganado.
James died April 9 in Gallup. She was born Oct. 10, 1919 in Ganado into
the Bitter Water People Clan for the Big Water People clan.
James was a homemaker and weaver. She won awards for her seamstress
work and was a member of Ganado Baptist Church, working at the commissary
store and as a cook.
Survivors include her sons, Richard Clark, Charley James and Elvis James,
all of Ganado; daughters, Nevelan Ross of Window Rock, 25 grandchildren,
35 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry James, parents, Althnabah
Begay and Pete Ned; sisters Laura Slivers and Althnabah Woody; brother
Yazzie Ned.
Pallbearers will be Dymal James, Duhon James and Brandon R. James.
Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Nelson Livingston
MANUELITO Services for Nelson Livingston, 50, will be held at
a later date. Livingston died April 10 in Chinle. He was born March
18, 1955 in Zuni into the Black Streek Wood People Clan for the Red
Running into the Water People Clan.
A family meeting will be held today at 5 p.m. at the Breadsprings Chapter
House.
