Albert Castle Sr.
GALLUP Services for Albert Castle Sr., 94, will be at 10 a.m.
Monday, April 4 at Rollie Mortuary Palm Chapel. John Gonzales will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. A rosary will be held Sunday
between 2-5 p.m. at Rollie Mortuary Palm Chapel.
Castle died March 29. He was born Jan. 18. 1911 in McAllister, Okla.
He loved the outdoors and his hobbies included camping, fishing, fixing
things around the house and restoring old cars. He liked telling jokes.
Survivors include his daughters, Carrie Cotledge and Betty Miles-Briggs,
both of Los angeles, Calif., Laura Myers of Needles, Calif.; brothers,
E.J. Castle of Duarte, Calif and Graham Castle of Fontana, Calif, 15
grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Castle; parents Wallace
Castle and Laura Castle; son Albert Castle Jr., and a brother Wallace
Castle, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Roland Briggs, Marlon Castle, Ehan Cotledge, Hosea
Cotledge, Wayne Cotledge, Melvin Myers and Ronald Ramsey.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Antonia Kozeliski
NATHROP, Colo. Services for Antonia L. Kozeliski, 89, will be
at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 6 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in
Gallup. Fr. Walter Opalewski will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset
Memorial Park.
Kozeliski died April 1 in Salida, Colo. She was born Nov. 8, 1915 in
Dawson, N.M.
She lived all of her life in Gallup before relocating in 1996 to Nathrop,
Colo.
Survivors include her daughters, Antoniette Lloyd Drennen and Barbara
Jeckel of Nathrop; and a sister, Helen Marinsek of Salida, Colo.
Kozeliski was preceded in death by her husband Julian Kozeliski, parents,
Frank Iskra and Anna Sepich-Iskra, brothers, Charlie Iskra and Frank
Iskra.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Research
in care of Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home, Salida, Colo.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
William Tracey
FARMINGTON Services for William Tracey, 82, will be at 11 a.m.,
Monday, April 4 at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St.,
Farmington. Interment will follow at Memory Gardins.
Tracey died, April 1. He was born Nov. 1, 1922 in Fort Defiance.
Survivors include his wife Beatrice Tracey; daughters, Amanda and Phillis
Tracey, and five grandchildren.
Tracey was preceded in death by his parents, Asa and Maude Tracey; brother,
Peter Tracey; sons, Bernon and Nolan G. Tracey and one grandson.
John Dehiya
MARIANO LAKE, N.M. Services for John Dehiya, 75, will be at
10 a.m., April 4 at Mariano Lake Community Church. Pastor Jonew Dehiya
will officiate. Burial will be on family land in Marian Lake.
Dehiya died March 30 in Mariano Lake. He was born February 3, 1930 in
Mariano Lake into the Deer Spring People Clan for the Start of the Red
Streak People Clan.
Dehiya worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 15 years. He also worked
as a carpenter and in the uranium mines. His hobbies were silversmithing,
ranching and auto mechanics.
Survivors include his wife, Irene B. Dehiya of Mariano Lake; sons, Sammy
Dehiya, Gary Bennett, Sr., La'mour Bennett, all of Mariano Lake, Fred
Bennett of Thoreau; daughters, Christine Cambridge of Crownpoint and
Lorraine Henio of Mariano Lake; brothers, Stanley Dehiya and Jones Dehiya,
both of Marian Lake; sisters, Nancy Eskeet of Mariano Lake and Rose
Shirley of Newcomb, 24 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Dehiya was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Angie Dehiya;
brothers Dan Dehiya, Ben Dehiya and Olsen Dehiya.
Pallbearers will be Sammy Dehiya, Fred Bennett, Gary Bennet Sr., La'mour
Bennett, Harold Eskeet and Lallo Yazzie.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dehiya residence
in Mariano Lake after services.
Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Louise Becenti
CROWNPOINT Services for Louise C. Becenti, 81, will be at 10
a.m., Monday, April 4, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Crownpoint, Fr.
Mike Vigil will officiate. Burial will follow in the Crownpoint Cemetery.
Becenti died March 31 in Gallup., She was born Aug. 8, 1923, in Mariano
Lake, N.M., into the Water That Flows Together Clan for the Folded Arms
People Clan.
Becenti was retired from Crownpoint IHS. She also worked as a health
assistant for Gallup McKinley Co. Schools and as a secretary for the
Becenti Chapter House. She enjoyed sewing and ranching, taking long
walks and spending time with her granchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Ned Earl Becenti, Sr., of Crownpoint;
sons, Abel Earl Becenti, Emmett Owen Becenti, Ned Earl Becenti Jr.,
all of Crownpoint; daughters, Donna M. Becenti of Crownpoint and Priscilla
B. Plimpton of Grants; sisters, Loretta Benally and Nancy Norton, both
of Crownpoint, Loretta Blatchford of Tuba City, Nuse Capitan of Coyote
Canyon; brothers, Ben Shorty Cowboy of Mariano Lake, Ernie Cowboy of
Coyote Canyon, Dan Vicenti of Window Rock, Vincent Vicenti and Willetto
Vicenti, both of Lukachukai, Ariz.
Becenti was preceded in death by her parents, Vicenti Cowboy and Mary
Grey; brothers, Ben Cowboy, John Cowboy, Richard, Cowby, Tony Cowboy,
Jimmy Vecenti, Lindy Vicenti and one sister, Martha Yazzie.
Pallbearers will be Abel Earl Becenti, Kevin R. Becenti, Malcolm Becenti,
Tyrone J. Begay, Garrick A. Norton and Leonard Vicenti.
