Arthur Bahe
MANUELITO — Funeral services
for Arthur Bahe, 37, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, at Cope Memorial
Chapel. Father Gonzalo Guzman will officiate. Burial
will be in Gallup City Cemetery.
Bahe died Aug. 25 in Gallup. He was born Nov. 15, 1966, in Gallup into the
Folded Arms People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.
Bahe was a homemaker who liked drawing, arts and crafts, singing and card tricks.
He was a lifelong member of the Native American Church.
Survivors include his son, Jeremiah Bahe; daughters Charmayne Bahe and Colleen
Bahe; parents, Kenneth and Rose Johnson; brothers, Freddie, Ronald and Edward
Johnson; and sister, Sharon Thomas.
Bahe was preceded in death by sisters, Shirley and Gloria Johnson; and brothers
Harry Bahe and James Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Tony Bahe, Ronald Johnson, Gerald Hale, Brian Nez, Edward
Becenti and Michael Becenti.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Tony and Lisa Bahe's residence
after the funeral.
Cope Memorial has charge of arrangements.

Harry Begay
FORT DEFIANCE — Funeral
Services for Harry Begay, 69, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, at
Silver Creek Mortuary in Tse Bonito. Father
Cormac will
officiate.
Burial will be in Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fort Defiance.
Begay died Aug. 27 in Flagstaff. He was born Jan. 14, 1935, in Sanders, Ariz.,
into the Tangle People Clan for the Red Running Into the Water People Clan.
A U.S. Army veteran, Begay graduated from Sanders High School and attended
business school in Chicago. He worked for the BIA Road Department until his
retirement.
He then opened a sandwich shop in Window Rock.
Survivors include his sisters, Helen Begay-James and Ruby Begay-Nez.
Begay was preceded in death by his parents Little Man and Mary Jane Begay.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Fort Defiance Chapter
House following the funeral service.

John H. Yazzie Jr.
RED LAKE — Funeral
services for John "Ebbie" H. Yazzie
Jr., 58, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, at Good Shepherd Mission.
The Rev.
James Leehan
will officiate. Burial will be in Veterans Cemetery in Fort Defiance.
Viewing will be today from 6-7 p.m. at Tse Bonito Mortuary.
Yazzie died Aug. 25 in Gallup. He was born Aug. 17, 1946, in Fort Defiance
into the Bitterwater People Clan for the Red Running Into the Water People
Clan.
A Vietnam veteran, Yazzie was a graduate of Window Rock High School, and
worked as a machinist for Navajo Forest Products Industry until its closure.
He then
became a rancher.
Yazzie's survivors include his sons, Timothy O. Yazzie of Fort Defiance;
daughter, Denise Yazzie of Window Rock; mother, Nesbah C. Yazzie of Red
Lake; brother,
Albert Yazzie of Gallup and sister, Marilyn Litson of Fort Defiance.
Yazzie was preceded in death by brother Jerry Yazzie of Red Lake; sisters,
Peggy McClanahan and Judy Yazzie, both of Red Lake; father, John Yazzie
Sr. of Red
Lake; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Levi Big Goose, Jonathan McClanahan, Duane Yazzie,
Lance Begay, Leonard Hardy, Roger Johnson and Gary Shurley.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Parrish Hall following
the burial.
