GRANTS — Services for Diego Baca Sr., 93, were today
at 10 a.m. Father Matthew Keller officiated. Burial will follow at
Grants Memorial Park.
A rosary was recited Tuesday at St. Theresa Catholic Church. A visitation
was also held Tuesday at the Grants Mortuary Chapel.
Baca was born July 18, 1910, in San Rafael, N.M. He died May 28.
He was a member of the St. Theresa Catholic Church. He retired from
Kerr McGee Mines and was an avid outdoorsman and cowboy.
Survivors include his sons, Archie Baca Sr. of Gallup, Diego Antonio
Baca Jr. of Gallup, Richard Baca of Grants and Larry Baca of Grants;
daughter, Diana
Marez of San Rafael; 18 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren
Baca was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Baca; sons, Sonny James
Baca, Freddie Baca, Leroy Baca, Francisco Baca; parents, Simplicio and Libradita
Baca; brother, Fernandez Baca; sisters, Libradita Chavez, Mary Sanchez, and
Irene Pena.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Marez, Daniel Baca, Richard Baca Jr., Jacob Baca,
Jesse Baca, and Aaron Baca.
Grants Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
Marilyn Smith Jodle
WHITEHORSE LAKE — Services
for Marilyn Jodle, 40, will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Rollie Mortuary
Chapel. Pastor Jimmie Etcitty will officiate.
Burial
will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
Jodle was born Dec. 7, 1963, in Crownpoint into the Near to Water People
Clan for the Red Bottom People Clan.
She enjoyed exercising, sheep herding, and people.
Survivors include her husband, Francis Jodle of Whitehorse Lake; father,
Tom Smith of Lupton; sons, Edward Jodle, Francis Jodle Jr., Wade Jodle,
Christian Sandoval, Craig Sandoval all of Whitehorse Lake; daughters, Krystalynn
Jodle,
Alvera Largo both of Whitehorse Lake, Karen Smith of Gallup; sisters, Tammy
Henderson of Counselor, Genevieve Sandoval of Yahtahey, Darlene Smith of
Crownpoint,
Rita
Smith of Grants, Rosilyn Smith of Whitehorse, Gloria Yazzie of Page Ariz.;
brothers, Armand Smith of Lupton, Edmund Smith of Lupton, Raymond Smith
of Sundance, Thomas
Smith of Prewitt; stepmother, Alice Smith of Lupton; and 5 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Terry Becenti, Francis Jodie, Gregori Lee, Andrew
Anderson, Edmand Smith and Tom Smith.
Jackie Ray Cuellar
GALLUP — Services
for Jackie Cuellar, 54, will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart
Cathedral. A rosary will be recited at 2 p.m. at
Sacred Heart
Cathedral. Father Jim Walker will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset
Memorial Park.
Cuellar was born April 20, 1950, in Gallup. He died May 31 in Gallup.
Cuellar enjoyed playing sports.
Survivors include his mother, Isabel Cuellar of Gallup; brother,
Tommy Cuellar of Gallup; sister, Elaine Gomez of Gallup; nephew,
Tim Gomez
of Tempe; Veronica
Gonzales of Tempe; brother-in-law, Felix Gomez of Gallup; great nephews,
Jon Michael and Matthew Gonzales both of Ariz.
Cuellar is preceded in death by his father, Pete M. Cuellar.
Pallbearers will be Larry Cuellar, Tim Gomez, Juan Gonzales, John
Paisano III, Paul Ramirez and Joe Rangel.

Hudson
COYOTE CANYON — Services are pending for Rose Ann Hudson,
83.
Hudson was born Feb. 26, 1921, in Toyee, N.M., into the Over-hanging
Rock People Clan for the Charcoal Streak People Clan. She died
May 30 in Ft.
Defiance.
Family meeting will be held on today at 6 p.m. at the Coyote
Canyon Chapter House.
Rollie Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
