COALMINE — Services for Roger Cleveland, 65, were 10 a.m.
Saturday, April 24, at Window Rock Christian Reformed. Pastor Harry
Van Dam officiated.
Burial followed at Veteran's Cemetery, Fort Defiance, Ariz.
Cleveland died April 19 in Coal Mine. He was born April 18, 1939, in
Fort Defiance, Ariz., into the Red Streak Running into the Water People
Clan for the Folding
Arms People Clan.
Cleveland graduated from Window Rock High School and attended vocational trade
school in Chicago. He was employed with the Window Rock High School warehouse,
Hunters Point Boarding School as a teacher's aide and with General Dynamics
in Fort Defiance.
Survivors include his brothers, Irving Cleveland of Navajo, N.M., and Herman
Cleveland of Fort Defiance, Ariz.; sisters, Lottie Augustine of Farmington,
Rena C. Williams, Delora Juarez and Loreen Benton all of Fort Defiance.
Cleveland was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lucy Ann Cleveland;
and brother, Alvin Cleveland.
Pallbearers were Herman Cleveland, Wade Williams, Aaron Williams, Ivan Cleveland,
Levon Williams, Alfred Tsosie and Fredrick Keams.
Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
