Clifford L. Harper

GALLUP — Clifford Harper, 58, died March 30 in Gallup. He was born Nov. 4, 1945, in Edgewood, Ill.

Survivors include his son, Clifton Harper of Gallup; daughters, Jackie Chavez of Carrollton, Texas and Niyla Espinosa of Surprise, Ariz.; brothers, Clyde Harper of Gallup and Glen Harper of Grants; sisters, Dolores Myers of Blue Springs, Miss., and Jeannette Rardin of Tupelo, Miss.; and five grandchildren.

Harper was preceded in death parents, Evangeline and John Thomas Harper.

The family will receive friends and relatives at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 3, at 409 Freedom Dr., Gallup.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Dale Chee Lizer

ST. MICHAELS, Ariz. — Services for Dale Lizer, 40, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 3, at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Father Gilbert will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Michaels Cemetery.

Lizer died March 3 in Kinlichee, Ariz. He was born Oct. 3, 1963, in Fort Defiance, Ariz., into the One Walks Around People Clan for the Red Running into the Water People Clan.

Lizer attended Window Rock High School. He was a rancher and was employed as a laborer with numerous construction companies. Dale was a member of the Native American Church. His hobbies included horseback riding, wood carving and traveling.

Survivors include his wife, Matilda Lizer of St. Michaels; sons, Brent Lizer of Navajo, N.M., Alton Lizer of Greasewood, Ariz., and Kionte of St. Michaels; daughters, Regina and Tara Lizer both of Navajo, N.M., Miranda and Daisy Lizer both of Greasewood; parents, Mary and David Lizer both of St. Michaels; brothers, Davidson, Dalton, Darrell and Derrick Lizer all of St. Michaels; and sisters, Mary Lou Slinkey of St. Michaels and Marlene Chischilly of Pine Hill.

Lizer was preceded in death by his grandparents, Grace John, Roy Chee and Desbah Lizer.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Lizer, Davidson Lizer, Noel Chischilly, Datlton Lizer, Derrick Lizer and James Lizer.

The family will receive friends and relatives after the burial services at St. Michael Parish Hall.


Daniel B. Largo Sr.

THOREAU — Services for Daniel Largo Sr., 69, were 10 a.m. today at First Baptist Church, Thoreau. Pastor Tom Shelton officiated. Burial followed at Thoreau Community Cemetery.

Largo Sr. died March 28 in Gallup. He was born April 9, 1934, in Thoreau.

Survivors include his wife, Fannie Largo of Thoreau; sons, Calvin B. Largo of Gallup and Daniel B. Largo Jr. of Albuquerque; daughters, Evangeline F. Largo of Albuquerque and Cheryl Tina Plummer of Thoreau; brother, Jones J. Largo of Thoreau; sisters, Ruth Largo of Farmington, Rita J. Largo and Louise Randolph both of Thoreau; and 11 grandchildren.

Largo Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, Emma and Tom Largo; son, Alvia J. Largo; brothers, Buck Largo, Jimmie B. Largo and John T. Largo; and sister, Marie Delgarito.

Pallbearers were Leslie Jack, Anthony Largo, Calvin B. Largo, Daniel B. Largo Jr., John Largo Jr. and Jones Largo.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
