Students at Zuni High School in Zuni Pueblo, N.M., grab bowls of vegetables or fruit in the hallway while between classes on Thursday morning. More students in Zuni Pueblo are snacking on fruits and vegetables instead of chips and candy these days. It's the hope of school officials that even after a government grant that is providing free healthy snacks expires, students will hang on to their new eating habits. |
